Records & Materials : Steve Robinson
Dear Ms. Janelle Rodriguez
cc: Richard Davis, Shirley Powell, and Jonathan Klein
My name is Steve Robinson, and I am a resident of the State of Maryland. I have been a Dahn member for over 2 and one half years.
Prior to joining Dahn Yoga, I suffered from an progressively tense and stiff body condition that made it increasingly difficult for me to walk. I had undergone years of Massage, Chiropractic, and even two complete courses of Rolfing to help my condition, with little long term relief.
My participation in Dahn Yoga has resulted in my no longer requiring bi-monthly massage. My chiropractic sessions are becoming less and less frequent. My Chiropractor has told me that the Dahn Yoga practice has been the most effective treatment I have undertaken thus far. She has treated me for fifteen years. You can well imagine how much I appreciate her honesty and candor.
I have participated in Dahn Yoga classes more or less 5-6 days a week now for 2 and one half years. I have never in my life been able to stick with anything for more than a few weeks at most. The reason for this success is the quality of the center and the regional instructors.
I am a software engineer for a major aerospace company. I am in the 41st year of my career in this field. My job is demanding and can require long stressful hours. My time at the Dahn Centers has become my antidote to the stress of my everyday life.
I don’t know what to make of the lawsuit you are describing in your upcoming series. Some of the stories I have heard seem more like what you might find in a Fraternity or Sorority Hazing than I have ever experienced in any of the Dahn programs I have attended.
I have had great results from Dahn programs, and I look forward to participating in them for many more years. I have always respected CNN as a news source, and I am sure your unbiased coverage will demonstrate the high level of journalistic standards so dearly needed in this country of ours.
